OrangeCheck: composable trust protocols for Bitcoin
Turn your Bitcoin key into a portable identity anyone can verify, no custodian, no platform.
Solo for now, and that's fine. I'm Wil, a full-stack engineer with 30+ years shipping software, based in Alaska. I've built the entire OrangeCheck protocol family and multiple consumer apps myself and have self funded so far.. Background is in Bitcoin protocol work, cryptography, and decentralized identity. Looking for a co-founder to help me market the stack to the world.
Six composable protocols already shipped (Attest, Lock, Stamp, Vote, Agent, Pledge), all MIT / CC-BY licensed, built on BIP-322 signatures wrapped in Nostr envelopes. Live consumer app at me.ochk.io: standard OAuth onboarding into a non-custodial Bitcoin identity backed by Fedimint, with sats earned per verification event. Plus supporting work already built: OC Find (verifiable federated index), OrangeOS (Bitcoin-bonded OS spec), oc-bot posting to X and Nostr, and this platform, cosign.ochk.io. OpenSats grant application submitted; early investor conversations underway.
A technical co-founder comfortable in Rust and/or TypeScript, ideally with Bitcoin, Nostr, or Fedimint protocol experience, to own part of the protocol layer and help it scale. Capital or grant funding to go full-time. Intros to Lightning and Fedimint devs, and to Bitcoin-focused angels, are welcome.
Going full-time on OrangeCheck for a year, plus a protocol-focused co-founder. Sats cover both our living costs, the Fedimint and Lightning infra to run the consumer app at scale, a third-party security audit of the protocol family before wider release, and OpenSats-style bounties to bring in outside contributors.
Back this and you get a public co-sign on the listing, early access to every protocol and the consumer app, your name credited as an early backer, and a standing invite to an off-platform sweat-equity or advisory conversation. No token, no equity promise, no security. But very much willing to discuss these options for the right co-founder.

As part of proving the utility of OrangeCheck layer protocols, I have built 4 products so far: Vault, Chat, Me, and Cosign. More coming soon.
