I'm Wil, a full-stack engineer with 30+ years shipping software, based in Alaska. I build at the protocol layer and products ontop of: Bitcoin, cryptography, decentralized identity. Right now that's OrangeCheck, an open protocol family that turns your Bitcoin key into a portable identity for signing attestations, votes, and commitments that anyone can verify, with no custodian in the middle. Six protocols shipped, a live consumer app, all open-source. I self-funded it through consulting and built it fast with AI coding agents. I care about sovereign tooling, open standards over platforms, and software that gives people ownership instead of renting it back to them.
I get behind builders working on sovereign, open infrastructure: Bitcoin, Lightning, Nostr, Fedimint, decentralized identity. I value people who ship over people who pitch, who default to open-source, and who are building protocols and tools rather than walled gardens.
